The standards have been set by the Awarding Body, based upon the published guidance from the HSE, Skills Council for Health and Ofqual and vary between different qualifications.
These set the following:
- Qualification level
- Minimum learning hours
- Minimum number of days training
- Maximum number of weeks training can be spread over
- Minimum session hours
- Learner to Trainer ratio
- How long a certificate is valid
