FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION NEWS
There has been a significant development from the Football Association.
Historically the FA have never accepted an EFAW as being a substitute for their Emergency First Aid course, which is a course that all FA Coaches have to undertake.
However, that has now changed. Please see this link for Full Information
Please also see the following downloadable documents that relate to this:
In essence an EFAW is acceptable if the Coach has also read the Bridging Document and they have e-mailed the FA to say they have read it and understand it.
SPLINTERS
The HSE’s stance on removing splinters has changed – please see the attached slide.
This change affects the following presentations in your Tutor Packs:
- Emergency First Aid at Work: Slide 94
- First Aid at Work Unit 1: Slide 95
- FAW Requalification Day 1: Slide 98
- Activity First Aid Unit 1: Slide 107
We are in the process of updating all the master files for these packs.
