FAST TRACK COURSES
I am pleased to announce the first of our forthcoming Fast-Track courses.
As mentioned in previous newsletters, due to changes within our Industry by regulatory bodies, anyone wishing to run First Aid Training courses must possess both a training qualification and an assessment qualification and you have until October 2015 to gain them. Unfortunately, you will not be able to continue teaching First Aid qualifications after October 2015 if you do not have them.
The reason for the assessing qualification is because you are now responsible for ongoing assessment without the need for external assessors. This applies to all First Aid qualifications.
However, we have a simple and cost-effective solution for you!
We will be running two different Fast-Track courses, which will cater for instructors who do not have either of these qualifications. If you already hold suitable training and assessment qualifications, then all you need to do is send this through to us so that we can update your profile.

NB: For those who have, or are about to undertake, the new Level 3 Award in Education and Training, then you will satisfy the full requirements and there will be no need for additional training.
LEVEL 3 AWARD IN EDUCATION AND TRAINING
This 2-day Fast-Track qualification will give you the necessary teaching AND assessing qualifications. This Fast Track Course is only suitable for Nuco First Aid Instructors who have attended a Nuco Training First Aid Instructor Course, but did not complete the teaching element of the course.
We will be running several of these around the country over the next couple of years. The first one will be at our Academy in Telford on Monday 24th March - Tuesday 25th March 2014.

ASSESSING & IQA CPD WORKSHOP
This 1-day CPD Workshop is suitable for First Aid Instructors who have gained their Level 3 PTLLS qualification or equivalent, whether through Nuco or elsewhere, but do not have a national Assessing or Internal Assurance qualification.
The day includes an Internal Quality Assurance workshop, which will enable you to monitor and assess fellow trainers. Again, this is the first of many events to be run around the country and the first will be located at our new Academy in Telford on Wednesday 26th March 2014.

NB: By attending this CPD event, there is no need to undertake an IQA or Assessors qualification for the purpose of teaching, assessing or monitoring First Aid courses. In essence it covers you completely. If you were to undertake these qualifications in full elsewhere, then it could take weeks to complete and cost you a lot of money!
