ACTIVITY FIRST AID

Unfortunately, the units which are included within the Activity First Aid qualification are due to expire on 31st December 2014 and will not be extended. This is totally beyond our control.

This means that the qualification will no longer exist and you will be unable to register an Activity First Aid course from 1st January 2015. If you have a course which starts prior to the 31st December 2014, you will have 6 weeks in which to complete it.

We are part of a group of Awarding Organisations who are looking to create a new 'Outdoor First Aid' qualification and we will keep you posted on the progress.

In the meantime, we will be offering a 'Nuco' certificate for anyone who would like to continue to run courses and have a certificate of attendance for their learners. Full details to follow.

COMBINED COURSES

We are still receiving queries about which courses can and cannot be combined for different qualifications.

Please see below clarification of this:

  • Day 1 of a 3-day First Aid at Work course can be certificated as an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
  • Day 1 of a 2-day First Aid at Work Requalification course can be certificated as an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
  • Students cannot attend 2 days of the 3-day First Aid at Work course to gain their Requalification. However, they can sit the full 3 days to gain the qualification, or attend a specific 2-Day First Aid at Work Requalification course
  • A 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course followed by a 2-day FAW Requalification course cannot be used for students to gain a full First Aid at Work qualification
