OCTOBER 2013 CHANGES
There are many trainers who are still delivering the HSE approved 3-day FAW and 1-day EFAW courses.
The likelihood is that these qualifications will cease to be available as of 1st October 2013 from any provider, including Nuco Training Ltd, subject to Parliamentary acceptance.
We suggest that you make the change to offering the new Level 2 EFAW and Level 3 FAW qualifications. These qualifications already exist and are available to you now.
They have been widely accepted as a more than suitable replacement qualification and in respect of the revised and draft L74 guidance for employers; no due diligence is required in respect of them selecting the training provider, the instructor or the programme.
There are slight changes to the administration and assessment process, but we feel that it is very straightforward. In order to familiarise yourself with the new paperwork, we would like to suggest that you register your next course as one of these new awards.
Needless to say, we will offer you full support and guidance should you need it.
We will be organising small workshops around the country in due course to introduce the new qualifications and you will of course be invited.

NEW LEVEL 1 FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS QUALIFICATION
We are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer certification for the new Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness. You can teach this course, if you have a Level 3 or above teaching qualification and a Level 3 or above Health & Safety qualification.
However, if you don't hold the appropriate qualifications, then we have a 5-day Level 3 H&S compliance course that will give you the qualifications, allowing you to teach H&S, Fire Safety and Manual Handling.
