HSE Changes - Have Your Say
You will have received our bulletin last the week relating to the HSE changes with particular reference to the ‘Draft’ guidance documents for employers in respect of a guide for employers ‘Selecting a first-aid training provider’ and ‘Guidance on Regulations’ again, for employers.
As a reminder, here are the links to follow:
http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/geis3.pdf
(Page 1 section 6 specifically)
http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/l74draft.pdf (Page 18 specifically)
We have had an enormous response as you can imagine about the perceived competitive advantage given to the Voluntary Aid Societies (VAS) as being mentioned specifically in both guidance documents and no specific reference to any other organisation.
We intend to put our point of view to the HSE as a training provider and we invite you to have your say as well, if you feel the need to respond.
There is an electronic petition available for you to sign which we recommend you do:

Alternatively you can directly have your say directly to the HSE by emailing:
firstaidconsultation@hse.gsi.gov.uk
It must be emphasised at this stage that they are draft documents and they are open for consultation.
Should you decide to respond, you could well influence the final version of both guidance documents.
Many thanks.
